Women in Tech

Ukraine

The Residents in the late 80s were singing, “It’s a man’s man’s world.”
The lyrics are still relevant in today’s world and, in particular, in the IT industry.

Statistics show that women hold less than 7% of tech positions in Europe. And even if you are one of these 7 %, you would be associated with people-oriented business positions and analysts. Being a woman in tech means that you need to work harder day by day and prove that you are qualified enough for your work. Working in a men’s circle means that you not only need to confirm your skills and knowledge but adopt for the social aspects and particular atmosphere.

“Women in Tech Ukraine” is all regarding empowering women in software testing and IT. Our meetups are a safe place for everyone who works or who wants to work in IT. These meetups focus on a mix of technical and personal development talks, as well as sharing individual stories that will motivate and encourage each other growth.

Organizers Dasha and Lena are both started their career path back in Ukraine and are currently working in Germany in the global technology company. Their working experience in IT covers more than six years.
